Palazzo Vitelli a San Giacomo was constructed in the early 1500’s fro Paola de’ Rossi di Sans Secondo Parmense, the wife of Vitello Vitelli. Her hysband died, and she married his cousin, Alessandro in 1528.

This is an internal courtyard and one the first floor an elegant arcade. The lacunar ceilings and the frescoes are fascinating. The façade o fhe palace has several fine sandstone windows. The palace will house the “Giosuè Carducci” library when the restructuration work has been completed.
